The Essex Record Office is the Storehouse of Essex History.
Users need to have an Archives Card to enter the Public Searchroom. To get one first visit the Archives Card Hub website and click on sign up to fill in the online application. You can then collect your card from the ERO reception (proof of I.D. is needed for this). You must collect your card within 3 months of making the online application.
